MasTec, FPL’s contractor, has informed the PHS Association that it has completed spray-painting to identify underground locations on Hibiscus Island which MasTec will need to access in preparation for the next step of the undergrounding project. This next phase entails securing the secondary connections from individual Hibiscus Island properties to the newly placed transformers.

During the first week of March 2022, MasTec will leave individual door hanger notification on Hibiscus Island properties in front of which it will be required to dig in the swale. Please be advised that MasTec’s start date to notify is subject to change and that MasTec has communicated that it will repair damage caused by its trenching.
