Motion passed on pickleball lines

Motion passed at city meeting to allow pickleball lines on
single Palm Park tennis court
The Public Safety & Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee met March 29, 2022 to discuss the addition of pickleball at various locations through the city of Miami Beach, including the conversion of the Palm Island Park single tennis court to dual use.
After the presentation and discussion of pickleball at the meeting, the motion passed, although there was no word on how soon the conversion of the Palm Island Park single court to dual use will be implemented. Again, the conversion will only apply to the single court closest to the Palm Avenue median and will allow up to 8 players to play pickleball at a time on the single court or allow for a traditional tennis match.
Tennis will still be able to be played once the pickleball lines are added.
