Gas-Powered Leaf Blower Ban Starts Aug 1st

Gas-Powered Leaf Blower Ban
Full Enforcement to Commence August 1
The Miami Beach City Commission voted unanimously to phase out gasoline-powered leaf blowers as part of the city’s commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Similar to the city’s regulation on polystyrene and plastic straws/stirrers, the new ordinance followed a phased implementation approach. The nine-month warning period began on November 1, 2022 and lasts through July 31, 2023. Full enforcement will commence on August 1, 2023.
