The Miami Beach Police Department has launched a new auto safety campaign, alerting the PHS Islands Association that auto thefts are increasing in other areas of Miami-Dade County.

To help prevent crime, MBPD urges PHS Islands residents to follow the preventive measures:

• Never leave your keys or fob inside your car.
• Lock all doors and roll up your windows before leaving.
• Keep bags, wallets and electronics out of sight.

Additionally, residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity immediately to MBPD police dispatch at 305 673.7900 so that patrol officers can respond promptly.
